Toyohari Japanese Acupuncture - gentle and effective. Health fund registered.

About

Dr. Stefan Hafner (TCM)

I completed a degree in Traditinal Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2003. I spend six weeks at a hospital in Beijing during a clinical internship. After practcing TCM for five years, I discovered the Japanese Toyohari style of acupuncture and found it offered a refined style of treatment that was more gentle and effective. Now I predominately practice the Toyohari style. Regular training with senior Japanese teachers and local colleagues helps me update and hone my skills.

In my practice I use Acupuncture in conjunction with Moxibustion, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Tuina Massage and Chinese Dietary Therapy. If appropriate, I will recommend changes to lifestyle and diet. I might suggest and demonstrate Yoga, Qi Gong and Meditation exercises as homework. Apart from treating adults of all ages, I enjoy treating children with the Japanese Shonishin method which is very gentle.

I am passionate about my chosen path in traditional medicine and enjoy treating everyone from baby to mature person. I have been working on the Central Coast since 2003 and am based at The Traditional Medicine Centre in Booker Bay (www.TTMC.com.au) I also maintain a presence in Glebe, Sydney one day a month.
